Gas flow measurements / gas meter

Privileged biogas plants may not produce more than 2.3 Mio Nm³ of biogas per year. To control that this limit is observed the licensing authorities require proof with suitable measuring methods.

The ultrasonic measurement method is classified as suitable.

bwe Energiesysteme have, with good reason, decided to use this method. It offers many advantages:

• Non-contacting - and thus insensitive to dirt and damp. The measurement uncertainty ex-works is less than 1.5 per cent
• recognised by the licensing authorities
• no performance or coating losses due to sensor drift
• Measurement with unpurified biogas possible
• Control of the CHP efficiency
